Getting Here

You will not believe the number and variety of beautiful, pristine beaches to explore in South Andros, and unbelievably, you will almost always find yourself alone to enjoy them, with not one other human being within sight! This is a true rarity in the world today, and a great luxury.

Here is just a sampling of the pleasures that await you:

Andromar beach kayak

This is the beach directly in front of Andromar, seen at high tide, great for kayaking, snorkeling and swimming in the balmy warm water. You can see the buoy for your boat and the white line of the sand spit on the horizon that you can walk to at low tide. There's also an outdoor shower right on our beach to rinse off after your swim!

Here's another view of our beach front: this one is looking north. The nearest neighbor is many acres away.

Bairs Beach

This crescent of beach in front of the world class fishing resort Bair's Lodge is just a stroll around the point south of Andromar.

Kemps Bay

Just a little north of Andromar, Kemp's Bay stretches for five miles of unpopulated fine white sand and crystal water bliss. The sailboat belongs to Andros Beach Club, which also arranges scuba diving and deep water fishing trips.

Congotown Beach

Near the Congotown airport is another long, spectacular beach with shallow sparkling water and soft sands, fantastic for finding seashells and having picnics.

Here's a video of one more incredibly panoramic beach, towards the south end of the island. You can beach comb for miles, spotting conch, clams, barracuda, needle fish, sea urchins and cucumbers, and a variety of birds.
